Did Zero accidentally publish a first draft? This book is rife with spelling errors, sentence fragments, etc. If it were any longer I wouldn’t have bothered to finish it. As it is I wouldn’t recommend spending money on it.
As far as its content is concerned – eh. Nagle clearly did a lot of research but her thoughts are underdeveloped, she doesn’t really engaged with any obvious criticism, and her conclusions range from perfunctory to silly.
I wouldn’t mind mind the iffy content (it is just a light survey, after all) if it weren’t for the abysmal presentation. I think you can listen to Nagle’s Chapo Trap House interviews for free, and those shows will give you everything you need to know.
